Is Green Board Actually Waterproof?

No. Green board is moisture-resistant gypsum, not a waterproof panel. Waterproof and moisture-resistant describe fundamentally different levels of protection.

What Does An ASTM D3273 Rating Of 10 Mean?

ASTM D3273 exposes materials to conditions favourable to fungal growth and visually rates the specimens afterward. A score of 10 indicates that no mould growth was observed on the tested specimen under the test conditions. It does not guarantee that mould can never develop on an installed wall, particularly because dust, paint and adjacent building materials can provide separate surfaces for growth.

Is Paperless Drywall The Same As Fibreglass-Mat Gypsum?
